The firm
was organized on February 1, 1987 under the name of Goytisolo & Sáez. In July of
1991, Messrs. Jose E. Martinez (University of Miami B.B.A., 1962, and LL.B., 1965) and
Renaldy J. Gutierrez (University of Miami J.D. 1985 cum laude and Harvard University
LL.M., 1988), joined the firm as counsel, and became name partners in September 1992
(later to be known as Martinez & Gutierrez). In September 2002, as a result of Mr.
Martinezs judicial appointment to the United States District Court for the Southern
District of Florida, the firm was renamed Gutierrez & Associates. The firm is
av rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Gutierrez was in-house counsel to an important
international investment group before joining the firm. He is admitted to the Nicaragua Bar Association. He is a Commissioner of the East Everglades Acquisition Project; and a panel member under ICDR International Commercial Arbitration and of the ICSID (World Bank).

The firm has extensive experience in
litigation relating to insurance defense, product liability defense, collections,
construction, and civil litigation, in general. Likewise, its attorneys have substantial
